Rich Williams gave a very instructive and informative critique of a number of members paintings.
We had a second challenge this winter entitled – “New Light, New Life”. It was a Draw – due March 14th. There were only 7 entries and Marlene won the draw.
February’s workshop was with Joanne Ayley and was titled “Starting an Abstract Landscape on a Black Canvas”.

She uses the “You Doodle Pro App” to both help her determine the shapes in her reference material and to help figure out her next steps.

Our Winter Challenge was to capture the mystique of a winter scene in any medium. Marilyn Strongitharm’s piece,

voted the winner, managed to simulate the sparkle of fresh snow and mimic the sunlight dancing on ice.
Our fun, year-end Christmas Party was held on Friday.

Liz led us through a variety of creative, physical and mind bending activities before we feasted on our pot luck luncheon. Many beautiful cards were exchanged. Marilyn kindly volunteered to collect and deliver Christmas gifts for Hospice.
Christmas Cards Workshop

This week three members, Rich and Diane Williams and Patty McRory demonstrated a variety of cards for us to try. They shared and gave out some materials to assist in our efforts. We all had a great time and learned some new techniques.
Today we had an Art Journal Workshop professionally done by Charlotte and Laurie. They displayed and demonstrated a variety of techniques and ideas. Harald gave us an interesting extra lesson.
