Published September 25, 2026 · Workshops

On Friday, September 25, 2026, Elsa Bluethner led a three-hour workshop on Colour, Value & Light, exploring how the colour of light affects the colours and values we see in both light and shadow.

The workshop looked at the home value of a colour and how warm or cool light can shift that colour while still maintaining a sense of light and form.

Through a series of simple painting exercises, members put these ideas into practice and explored how they could help them make more confident colour and value choices in their own work.
